I remember a client from the UK who was looking for a silk abaya for her wedding. It was important for her to feel both comfortable and regal on her big day, and we worked closely with her to make sure she found exactly what she wanted. Hearing how much she loved it meant the world to us! 

Another time, we had a mother from Singapore who was looking for an abaya for her son’s wedding. It was a significant event for her, and she wanted to look elegant but also respect tradition. We discussed her needs, sent her some options, and when she received her chosen piece, she was overjoyed. It is moments like these that remind me why I started thowby—to be part of these special moments in people’s lives.

It is not just weddings, though. We have had clients reach out for all sorts of special occasions—one gentleman wanted to surprise his wife with an abaya. The tricky part was that we did not know her exact measurements because it was a surprise, but we did not let that stop us. We estimated her size, worked around it, and when she finally received it, she was thrilled with how perfectly it fit. It is those personal touches, those small details, that make the experience so rewarding, both for us and for our clients.
