Eid Abaya Collection Of 2026

Every year, as Ramadan approaches and we begin preparing for Eid al-Fitr, my heart fills with the same excitement it has felt for years. At thowby, these two occasions are not just part of the calendar, they are moments of devotion, reflection, community values, and togetherness. They inspire me deeply as a designer.

Designing for Ramadan and Eid has always been a labour of love. The fabrics, the silhouettes, the detailing, everything is chosen with intention. My approach to business during Ramadan is rooted in these values. But this year, I chose to do something very different.

Why This Year's Eid Collection is Different

For the first time, I decided to bring our limited edition collection into the spotlight.

For years, the limited edition pieces were quietly available only in our stores, never more than one piece in a single store. Once sold, they were never recreated. That has always been our promise. True exclusivity. True uniqueness. They have always been greatly received by those who discovered them in-store, but I had never showcased this side of thowby on social media or on our website. Many of you didn't even know this part of our story existed.

Introducing Our Limited Edition Collection Online

This year, I slowly began sharing glimpses of these pieces on Instagram. What happened next was overwhelming in the most beautiful way. The love, the appreciation, the messages, it was far beyond what I had expected.

And so, for the first time ever, we officially launched our limited edition collection for Ramadan and Eid online.

That makes this year incredibly special to me. Building on the success of last year's Eid collection, this 2026 collection represents a new chapter in how we share our designs with you.

Luxurious Velvet Abayas for Winter Ramadan

Since Ramadan falls in winter this year, most of our limited edition designs were crafted in rich velvet fabrics, luxurious yet comforting, perfect for the weather. The intricate detailing and craftsmanship that goes into each piece reflects our commitment to quality. Every piece remains exclusive. You will not see it again once it is sold. It is always first come, first serve. We create either one exclusive piece or at most three, never more than that.

Our recurring clients understand this well. They are always eagerly waiting for the newest addition because they know how quickly these pieces disappear. There is something magical about owning something that will never be reproduced, something truly yours. This aligns with our 2026 design philosophy of creating timeless, exclusive pieces.

A Personal Milestone: Modelling My Own Designs

Another very special milestone this year was personal.

For the first time, I modelled for my own limited edition collection.

I am not a model. I am a designer. I am a founder. But I strongly believe that growth never stops, no matter your age. There is always something new to learn, something new to unlock within yourself. I've shared more about my journey as a founder and entrepreneur on our podcast, Houda's Majlis.

So this year, alongside designing, I unlocked another new skill.

Standing in front of the camera, filming, posing as it is all still new to me. I am in my 60s, and I can honestly say this took more than just courage. It took vulnerability. It took stepping outside my comfort zone. But the encouragement and support I received from all of you made it worth it. The engagement, the kind words, the positivity, it all meant so much.

Personally, this first-time experience was very different. I truly enjoyed it, even though I didn't think I would be able to do it. Sometimes we underestimate ourselves. Sometimes we surprise ourselves. Modelling was truly fun and satisfying as a founder to showcase my own designs by modelling for it.

The Heart Behind This Collection

This Eid collection is not just about velvet, exclusivity, or limited numbers. It is about growth. It is about sharing more openly. It is about bringing you closer to the heart of thowby.

And as always, it is designed with excitement, love, and deep gratitude.
